Hello from our team at Sofia, Bulgaria. We just had two amazing Hackidemia events, on the 17th of May and on the 1st of June. The team worked hard for them and we want share with you the 1-2-3 checklist we prepared about a month ago. We have been working on this for a while and we are excited to share t with the global community! We have done 6 events in Sofia and couple in other cities in Europe and we feel that there always will be challenges in organizing the events but this checklist tries to cope with that. The Event Organizer Checklist assumes that you have already found some funding, you have a diverse group of people experts in their own fields and excited about working with kids and technology. Lastly you need a location - somebody to host the event.
Once you have these three, you are ready to start! With careful planning you need just 2 weeks to get everything ready! (No, you don't have to quit your job or give up other things to do this! This is why it is a community project - with good collaboration it is all possible and so much fun. )
Yes, it is possible to create amazing things in just two weeks and this Organizer Checklist comes from our experience. It goes into the details of what needs to be done:
- two weeks before the event
- one week before the event
- the day of the event
- 2 or 3 days after the event
